Transformed by the URBA interior design team, the apartment seamlessly blends elegance with modern comfort. The bright interiors, luxurious finishes, and unique character of the property have been recognized and featured by renowned interior design magazines—White MAD and Design Alive.

Feature in "White MAD" – A Marriage of History and Contemporary Craftsmanship
In their article, the editors of White MAD took a closer look at how the URBA design team breathed new life into the walls of this 16th-century tenement house. The piece focuses on the unique symbiosis of respect for Kraków’s historic fabric combined with the bold introduction of modern, luxurious forms. Interior design journalists particularly praised the flexibility and fluidity of the interior—how the high ceilings and deep window reveals created the perfect backdrop for custom moldings and a sophisticated play of textures, ranging from noble marble to soft velvet textiles.
Visiting this apartment is a journey through a world of thoughtful detail. White MAD highlights the masterful use of the color palette, where muted, bright bases set the stage for deeper accents and jewelry-like matte gold. The URBA designers succeeded in creating a space with a strong identity—an interior that doesn't blindly follow trends but instead tells its own story, inextricably linked with the artistic spirit of Kazimierz.

Św. Katarzyny Apartment in Kraków’s Kazimierz district, living area - developer URBA
Feature in "Design Alive" – Functional Architecture within a Historic Structure
The prestigious Design Alive magazine looked at our Kraków project through the lens of engineering and design challenges. In an article titled "Optimized Space," the editors analyze how the URBA design team transformed the challenging, historic layout of the tenement house into an ergonomic and fully intuitive apartment for today's demanding client.
The primary focus here was the flawless logistics of space. Design Alive highlights the custom, tailor-made built-in furniture that blends seamlessly into the walls, creating a massive yet visually invisible storage area. The designers proved that 85 square meters in an old building can be freed from architectural barriers by introducing a logical division into an open living area and a private sanctuary, while maintaining maximum access to natural light.
